“Being able to walk this journey with people to reinvent life in ways that are meaningful to them and build a rhythm that is uniquely theirs, is a great privilege.”
Mildred comes from a background in Sociology and has a life-long fascination in how the web of social life influences why we choose to do what we do. This perspective has guided her to develop a unique process to her health and fitness journey.
Ever since sustaining an ACL and meniscus injury in 2014, Mildred became increasingly attentive towards injuries, pain, rehabilitation and behaviour, as many around her were injured constantly. Mildred’s personal experience motivated her to seek out knowledge from various professionals, treatment and training systems to break out of the cycle of chronic pain and injury.
Mildred also draws inspiration from other specialists in the field to continually hone her skills and knowledge of assessment and coaching, as “a well-thought-out assessment is key to intelligent programming, which can restore comfortable movement and eventually improve our quality of life.”
She hopes to connect with those who relate to being trapped in this cycle of pain and yearn to discover a life outside of the fear and frustration surrounding injury.
